This Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is rich, gooey, and packed with crunchy pecans and decadent chocolate. Perfect for holidays or a Southern-style dessert.
Ingredients
4 large eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup ice water
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare pie crust by mixing flour and salt, cutting in butter, and adding ice water. Chill and roll out for 9-inch pan.
3. Pre-bake crust for 10 minutes.
4. Whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until smooth.
5. Stir in melted butter and chocolate chips.
6. Place pecan halves evenly on crust and pour filling over them.
7. Bake for 45–55 minutes until center is set.
8. Cool completely before slicing.
9. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
Cover pie edges with foil to prevent over-browning.
Use high-quality chocolate for richer flavor.
Store at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for 4 days.
