Description
This Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake is a warm, creamy, and easy casserole-style twist on sushi night, made with baked salmon, seasoned rice, furikake, and spicy mayo.
Ingredients
4 cups cooked white sushi rice
1 lb salmon
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup Japanese mayo + extra for drizzling
2 tbsp sriracha + extra for drizzling
1/2 cup eel sauce
1/4 cup furikake
2 green onions, sliced
Sushi Rice Seasoning (optional):
2 tsp rice vinegar
1/4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Serve with:
Roasted seaweed
Cucumbers, sliced
Avocado, sliced
Spicy mayo
Eel sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F for the salmon.
2. Season salmon with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Bake salmon for 20 minutes until cooked through.
4. Preheat oven to 450°F for the sushi bake.
5. Mix salmon, cream cheese, mayo, and sriracha in a bowl.
6. Layer cooked rice in a 9×13 dish.
7. Sprinkle furikake over the rice.
8. Spread the salmon mixture on top.
9. Drizzle sriracha, mayo, and eel sauce.
10. Top with more furikake.
11. Bake for 10 minutes.
12. Broil for 3 minutes until lightly toasted.
13. Sprinkle green onions on top.
14. Serve with roasted seaweed, cucumbers, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce.
Notes
Seasoning the rice is optional but adds traditional sushi flavor.
Serve hot for the best texture and taste.
