Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and festive. Loaded with dark chocolate and crushed candy canes, perfect for holiday baking or gift-giving.
Ingredients
12 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp fine sea salt
3/4 cup dark chocolate bar or chocolate chips
1/4 cup crushed candy canes

3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
4. Mix in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt separately.
6. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture gradually.
7. Fold in chocolate and candy canes.
8. Chill dough for at least 3 hours.
9. Scoop dough onto baking sheet.
10. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges golden.

Notes
Chill dough for best texture.
Use quality dark chocolate.
Add extra candy canes on top for festive look.
