Crockpot Salisbury Steak Meatballs – Easy Comfort Food

Description

Classic comfort meal made easy with frozen meatballs smothered in rich gravy in the crockpot.


Ingredients

26 oz bag frozen homestyle meatballs

8 oz sliced brown mushrooms (optional)

1 sliced onion

2 cups beef broth

1 oz package brown gravy mix

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

3 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp black pepper

2 tsp minced garlic

2 tbsp cornstarch (for slurry if needed)

0.25 cup water


Instructions

1. Spray a 6-quart crockpot with nonstick spray. Layer mushrooms and onions at the bottom.

2. Pour frozen meatballs over vegetables.

3. Whisk together beef broth, brown gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and garlic.

4. Pour gravy over meatballs.

5. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 5-6 hours.

6. If gravy is too thin, whisk cornstarch and water to make slurry and pour over meatballs. Cook 10 more minutes.

7. Serve hot over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Optional mushrooms. Adjust gravy thickness with cornstarch. Perfect with rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
