Description
Tender and juicy Crockpot BBQ Chicken cooked in a sweet and smoky sauce. Perfect for sandwiches, sliders, or meal prep.
Ingredients
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
1.5 cups BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Buns and coleslaw for serving
Instructions
1. Place chicken breasts in slow cooker.
2. Mix BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and spices in a bowl.
3. Pour sauce over chicken and toss to coat.
4. Cover and cook on high 3-4 hours (or low 6-7 hours).
5. Shred chicken directly in slow cooker and stir into sauce.
6. Adjust salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot.
Notes
Makes 6-8 sandwiches depending on portion size.
Shred chicken as coarse or fine as preferred.
Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts.
For an Instant Pot version, adjust cook time accordingly.
