Description
Crock Pot Smothered Pork Chops are tender, juicy, and cooked in a creamy, rich gravy. Perfect for family dinners or weeknights.
Ingredients
4–6 bone-in or boneless pork chops
1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) onion soup mix
1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
1. Lightly grease the crock pot with cooking spray or butter.
2. Sprinkle pork chops with paprika, black pepper, and salt.
3. Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the crock pot. Arrange pork chops on top.
4. Whisk together cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, and chicken broth. Pour over pork chops.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
6. Optional: stir in cornstarch slurry during the last 30 minutes for thicker gravy.
7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables, spooning gravy generously.
Notes
Brown pork chops in a skillet for extra flavor.
Swap soups for cream of celery for a different taste.
Leftovers store in the fridge up to 3 days.
