Description
Soft, rich Christmas Gooey Butter Cookies made with cake mix, cream cheese, and festive sprinkles. They melt in your mouth and are perfect for holiday gatherings or cookie exchanges.
Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
1. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
2. Add the egg and vanilla, then mix again.
3. Blend in the cake mix until a soft dough forms.
4. Fold in Christmas sprinkles.
5. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
6. Roll dough into small balls.
7. Coat each dough ball in powdered sugar.
8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
9. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Chilling helps keep cookies thick.
Add extra sprinkles for more color.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
