Description
Thick, chewy Brown Butter Pecan Cookies packed with toasted pecans and rich buttery flavor.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Melt butter over medium heat until golden brown, then cool slightly.
2. Toast pecans in 2 tablespoons of browned butter.
3. Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
4. Beat remaining brown butter with sugars until creamy.
5. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
6. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
7. Fold in toasted pecans.
8. Chill dough for 1 hour.
9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
10. Scoop dough onto lined baking sheet.
11. Bake 10–12 minutes.
12. Cool completely on a wire rack.
13. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Chill dough for thicker cookies.
Toast pecans for richer flavor.
Do not overbake for a chewy center.
